What is a Popplet?
A popplet is a big pinboard that you can put popples onto.

How do I make new Popplets?
If you have Popplet Lite, you can't. Popplet Lite is limited to one Popplet. But now the paid version of Popplet allows you to create unlimited local popplets.

How do I rename my Popplet like I see in the video?
Again, if you have Popplet Lite, sorry, you can only rename popplets in the full paid version. If you have the full paid version then you can tap on the title of the poppet. You should be able to edit it in place.

What is a "Popple"?
A popple is container that holds text, photos, and more things to come.

How do I make a popple?
Double-tap anywhere on popplet. Or tap on the Link circle, to pop a new popple out in that direction.

Can I put an image into a Popple?
Yes! Tap on the image button, and you can select an image from your Image Library.

Can I link two popples together?
Yes! Drag the Link circle from one popple to another.

How do I delete a popple?
Tap on the X. This also deletes the link between two popples.

Is a popplet infinite in all directions?
Almost... it's really big.

How do I copy and paste from Safari into my Popplet?
This is a new feature, and requires a little bit of patience. But, we know you really want to do it, so we built it. To copy in Safari, either tap on some text to bring up the blue highlight rectangle or tap and hold on an image until the pop-up menu appears. Here's where it gets tricky.

If the dialog box says only "Save Image" or "Copy," this means that you are copying the image file itself. Tap Copy, then open Popplet.

Now open an existing Popplet and Touch and Hold on the insertion point. A "Paste image" option appears, and boom you are good to go. Hidden Bonus, if you Touch and Hold anywhere on the background, the Paste option will allow you to create a new Popple with the info on the clipboard. If you don't get the "Paste image" option, see the next answer below.

When I try to cut and paste an image from Safari, it doesn't work, and I just get a bunch of random text.
In Safari, tap and hold on an image until the pop-up menu appears. If the dialog box has a URL in the top gray area, and the option "Open in New Page" in the listing, then the "Copy" in this menu actually copies the URL that the image links to NOT the image itself. So when you go to paste your image into popplet all you see is "Paste Link" and "Paste Text," not "Paste Image." To get around Safari's weirdness here, you have to choose the "Save Image" instead of "Copy." Save Image will put the image into your iPad's Photo library. Then you can place the image in Popplet using the image icon, or by going to the image library and cutting it from there.

Can I share/export a version of my Popplet for other people to look at?
In paid version of Popplet, you can access a Share menu from any Popplet. By clicking Share Image, Popplet will grab a JPEG of your current view and drop it directly into an email for sharing.

I have a bug to report or a feature request! Will you listen to me?
YES! Email us at support@popplet.com and we will get back to you ASAP.

What's the difference between the full version of Popplet and the Lite version?
Popplet Lite lets you do whatever you want on one Popplet board. Upgrading to the paid version gives you many features that our dedicated users have requested, including:

Can I move my Popplet Lite material over to the full Popplet version?
Unfortunately, you cannot. You can however take a manual screengrab (simultaneously press the power button and the center home button) and place that image in a new Popplet in your full version.

What's the website version of Popplet all about?
Popplet.com is a web version of Popplet that works on any desktop computer with Flash. Popplet.com has some exciting new features, like sharing Popplets with Collaborators and access to embedding content from Flickr, Amazon, and Youtube. This service is currently in beta. We hope to open it up to everyone soon and are also working on synchronizing a limited set of boards on the iPad with Popplet.com.
